Alone in Beautiful Places
Secrets
We all have our secret places--those places we hope not a ton of people know about. This is an example of one of mine. This pic was taken in the early fall as can be discerned from the hue of the light and the color of the surrounding grasses. This is one of those places I can go and a multi-fish day in about 100yds.Wyoming Spring Creeks
This beautiful cutthroat was taken at one of this area's many spring creeks.A spring creek is just what it sounds like--a creek that originates from a spring.Because it originates from the ground and flows through limestone,it has a more constant water temperature through the year and its' pH is more toward the basic (not acidic) end of the scale.Fish thrive in spring creeks because of this constancy of conditions; this is one reason we need to be aware of invasive species such as zebra mussels, which rob the very baseline of food that inhabits streams such as these.Wash your equipment!
